Math
In this lesson we began graphing points in a rectangular coordinate system. We established a system to graph the values for each of these variables and saw how they relate to each other when an equation is given. We used some sort of a scale with tick marks to enable us to locate numbers and we use a darkened dot (point) when we wanted to graph a specific ordered pair of numbers. We learned how to graph points in a rectangular coordinate system and determine the location of the points we graphed.
As a result of this lesson you should now be ready to begin graphing linear equations in two variables by creating a table of values.
Before you proceed, be sure you are able to plot points and use a table to find some arbitrary solutions to a given equation. If you are having difficulty completing a table where certain x or y values are given, you may need to review lessons in Unit 9, where the Addition and Multiplication Properties are applied. Consult your teacher with any questions you may have before proceeding.
